Who are we?
Peebles & District Poultry & Bantam Club are an active poultry club based in Peebles, in the Scottish Borders, Scotland. - Formed back in 1984 by various founding members (some of which we are lucky enough to still have involved in the Club today). Peebles Poultry Club has grown from a few members to running the largest one day show of poultry in Scotland. 2010 saw us running our 23rd winter show with over 1250 exhibits.
Our committee is made up of lots of hard working people from a variety of backgrounds all sharing an interest in poultry. The commitee keep a variety of breeds including Leghorns, Cochins, Old English Game, Hamburghs, Belgiums, Pekins, Polands, Anconas, Welsummers, Japanese, Sussex, Rosecombs and various kinds of waterfowl.
We welcome new members and are willing to share the knowledge and expertise that we have. We organise two poultry shows every year and those are the focus of our regular meetings through the year. Both shows are open to the visiting public and new exhibitors.
Where are we?
Our shows are held in the lovely location of Peebles in the Scottish Borders. Peebles is a traditional market town on the banks of the River Tweed with shops, pubs and cafes all within near walking distance of all shows. Committee members come from all over the South of Scotland, Borders, Lanarkshire, Lothians etc.
Shows are held in the Community Centre, Peebles or Hay Lodge Park, Peebles. Both within easy walking distance of Peebles town centre.
